For this they received a contribution of 2.25 million euros from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within the ‘Opportunities for West II’ programme. The province of North Holland is co-financing the project with a contribution of €750,000.
The cluster works together to promote research and innovation in the composites sector. Development Agency Noord-Holland Noord (NHN) is the coordinator of this project. The composite companies in Noord-Holland have a lot of potential. However, this is still insufficiently used, because knowledge about materials and techniques is still not shared enough. The subsidy is used for knowledge exchange and cooperation between SMEs and educational and knowledge institutions and to accelerate innovations and market introductions.
